Lego Unveils Life Size Technic Bugatti Chiron

Built from over a million Technic parts, this car, powered by over 2,300 Power Functions motors, can reach 20mph.  At 3,300 pounds, it is surprising that this car can stay together without glue. (Although it does have a steel frame)

It includes many working functions such as front and rear lights, a working speedometer built entirely from Lego, and a functional spoiler.  The car's array of Power Functions motors gives it 5.3 horsepower and an estimated torque of 92 Nm.

58 Technic elements were made in new colors specifically for this model, including several new transparent pieces for the working lights.

The level of detail in almost every aspect is absolutely fantastic! The color scheme for the ground is great and the microscale Star Destroyer is top notch. My congratulations to one case for this marvelous build.

Lego Harry Potter Diagon Alley (40289) Revealed

Continuing in the vein of the microscale Hogwarts set released earlier this month, Lego has made a microscale version of Diagon Alley.  Gringotts, Ollivander's, Flourish and Blott's, Quality Quidditch Supplies, and Weasley's Wizard Wheezes are all represented in microscale. Personally, I am reminded of the Mini Modulars set from 2012.  The set also includes an Ollivander minifigure.  The price and piece count are unknown so far.

Early today, images were finally revealed for the upcoming Bricktober 2018 minifigure packs! There will be four, like always, and will include the following themes: Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Ninjago, and Avengers Infinity War. These should be available at the nearest Toys r Us, but for those in the United States, it is rumored that they will be for sale at the nearest Barnes and Nobles. If they do retail, they will be $19.99 each. If not, they will be thrown in  with a purchase of x amount.

Harry Potter: Week 1

 Jurassic World: Week 2

 Ninjago: Week 3
 Avengers Infinity War: Week 4
The one that had not been revealed yet, Jurassic World, is actually pretty nice. I mostly enjoy it because of the exclusive Ian Malcolm minifigure. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Bricktober packs in the comments section below!

Lego Harry Potter 2019 Set Rumors Revealed!

After the latest wave of Harry Potter sets, it looks like Lego will be doing some more starting in 2019. So far, three sets have been rumored and they all look to be great and will add along nicely to the previous wave of sets. We just know at the moment the sets and not much on pricing, piece count or official release dates.

1) The Chamber of Secrets - This set is rumored to contain Harry Potter, Tom Riddle, Ginney Weasley, and Gilderoy Lockhart. The set will be medium sized and will contain a brick built basilisk with a possible exclusively molded head.

2) Room of Requirement - This set is rumored to include Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Seamus Finnigan, and Colin Creevey. There will also be a lot of play functions as this set will act as a scene with brick built statues of Death Eaters.

3) Diagon Alley - THis set will be rather large and will be withing the price of $200 and $400. The set is rumored to include 12 minifigures which include the following: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Hagrid, Ollivander, Ron Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, 2 Death Eaters, Molly Weasley, and 2 goblins. The set will be a compilation of 3-4 buildings

All these sets sound great and will offer a great new minifigure selection if the rumors are true. Remember, these are still just rumors so take them with as much credibility as you wish. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the rumored 2019 Harry Potter wave in the comments section below!

Moc Monday: Carrots in Space

We often see food built from Lego.  It's almost an everyday occurrence.  However, I can't say I've ever seen real food incorporated into a creation before.  I'm actually pretty surprised at how seamless it is.  Perhaps this will spawn a new genre of food-based Mocs.

Sadly, there are no other images of this appetizing aircraft (which has already been disassembled and the carrot eaten), but you can see more Mocs by Zed at his Flickr.

Lego Brickheadz Fantastic Beasts Newt Scamander and Gellert Grindelwald (41631) Image Revealed!

Along with the simpsons pack, images were released on an upcoming Fantastic Beasts dual Brickheadz pack. This set will feature Newt Scamander and Gellert Grindelwald. Like most dual packs, this one will retail for $19.99 and its release date will be November 1st, 2018. Again, there is not information regarding its availability and where it will be sold, but that information will be revealed sooner to the release date.
Honestly, I think Lego should have done a Niffler and Newt pack fro $14.99, but this set is still going to be one for any Brickheadz collector. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Fantastic Beasts Brickheadz set in the comments section below!

Moc Monday: Green Giant

Building mechs is hard.  Building a mech in uncommon colors is even harder.  Inspired by many new parts in yellowish-green, Lego designer Chris Perron decided to build a mech with them.  Although the mech itself is excellent, my favorite part is actually the lava in the base of the model.

Lego Bricktober 2018 Minifigure Packs Additional Information revealed!

A while ago, Images were leaked of the upcoming Legon Bricktober packs that are exclusive to Toys r us. These included and Avengers Infinity War pack, Harry Potter pack, a Ninjago pack,  and ine additional one that is yet to be revealed. However, the downside to these is that they are Toys r us exclusive and with Toys r us gone in the U.S. now, many people were getting a bit upset. Well, we now have some new information regarding these. It looks like Lego will be giving them away with a certain purchase amount in October from their Official Lego shop. This means that United States residents can now get them which is awesome!

With there being 4, I am interested to see if Lego will be doing it similar to how Toys r us did it with a different one every week? Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this new information in the comments section below!

Moc Monday: Meltdown

While Brickheadz were and continue to be a divisive subject in the Lego community, they have led to many interesting Mocs such as this one by pasq67.  The scale of the model might throw you off.  It isn't the size of a normal Brickhead, but eight times as large!

You can see more pictures of this giant Brickhead at pasq67's Flickr.

Lego Brickheadz TRU Geoffrey the Giraffe (40316) Image Revealed

Due to the lengthy nature of the design process of Lego sets, it appears that a Toys R Us themed Brickheadz set was planned before the chain's demise, only to be finished too late.  Piece count, price, and the possible release date are unknown, although instructions can be viewed here.

It is unknown what will happen to this set.  It could be released only in countries where Toys R Us still exists, or if could never be seen on shelves at all.  Only time will tell.  Let us know what you think of this set in the comments!

Lego September 2018 Promotional Calendar Released!

As the beginning of the month begins, Lego has unveiled next months promotional calendar! To be honest, it doesn't really look like a packed month and does not offer many promotionals sadly. The only one it looks like will be a friendship ring pack with Lego Friends purchases of $25 or more. But it looks like Lego will be having early access to two more exlcusive sets starting September 13th to VIP's. One of them will probably be the upcoming UCS Cloud City while the other one is yet to be determined. Also throughout the month, Lego will be offering some in store events and builds, on of which is where you can build your very own Lego wand on September 19th!

Again, it doesn't look like it will be a very filled month, but the fact that two more exclusive sets coming out it great! Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Months promotions and events in the comments section below!
