Lego Ideas Voltron - Defender of the Universe (21311) Images Revealed!

After months of no word on the project, the finished version of Voltron has been officially revealed.  The set includes 2,321 pieces for $179.99 and will be released on August 1st.  VIP early access begins a week early on July 23rd.

The set looks very impressive and its resemblance to the source material is astounding.  The most impressive feature of the set is not simply its accuracy, but that it is able to split into the five individual lion mechs and still look just like the original.  Another thing to note is that each of the lions look great on their own.

Lego Harry Potter D2C Hogwarts Castle (71043) New Details Revealed!

So after a ton of rumors and details revealed for the upcoming D2C Hogwarts Castle, we now have confirmation that it will actually be a micro scale Hogwarts Castle. This actually disappointed me because it would not be compatible with regular figures which is saddening. So from some information on Stone Wars, we now have a pretty good estimation on what to expect from the set. Here is what we know below:

1) The set will consist of around 6000 or so pieces which means the estimated price will be near $500. This also means that it will be the second largest set ever.

2) The set will consist of 30 or so micro minifigures

3) In addition, the set will also include 4 regular size minifigures which will be the 4 founders of Hogwarts:
                           - Godric Gryffindor
                           - Helga Hufflepuff
                           - Salazar Slytherin
                           - Rowena Ravenclaw

4) The boxed set will weigh 7.36 kg and the box dimensions will be 60 x 51.4 x 20 cm.

This is all the information revealed and if it is true, we will get one truly awesome spectacle to behold! Let us know your thoughts and comments on these new details in the comments section below!

Moc Monday: Minas Tirith

Few cities are as uniquely designed as Minas Tirith.  Replicating its complicated layout in microscale is a huge challenge.  Fortunately, Koen seems to be up to it.

This model's size may deceive you.  Although it doesn't look particularly large, this work makes use of over 11,000 pieces.

Lego James Bond Aston Martin Teaser Image Leaked!

After the confirmation for an upcoming James Bond 007 set, we now have a teaser image of it blacked out along side the other Creator car sets. From the image, we can at least make out the shape of the model and can confirm that it is the Aston Martin. It will be really awesome to get another sports type car that's not Technic in my opinion. No information on other details for the set have been leaked yet.
I am really looking forward to this set and hopefully a James Bond minifigure will accompany the set as well. Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Aston Martin in the comments section below!

Moc Monday: The Dragon's Wrath

For moc Monday today, we will be featuring a moc by mrxsto999. After looking through projects at Brickworld Chicago, I saw this magnificent dragon and was utterly astounded by its shear beauty in both the dragon and that wondrous flame. I also really enjoyed his use of wheels for the neck which was genius in my opinion.

Making the fire light up just truly makes this moc come to life! Make sure to head on over to mrxsto999's flickr page and give his mocs a like and be sure to comment below on your thoughts on the moc above!

Lego Brickheadz Boba Fett (41629) Image Revealed!

AN image was just leaked of the upcoming Boba Fett Brickhead that will be released in October. This seems a bit early for a leak for that, but this may mean that it will come out earlier. Like most Brickheadz, it will retail for $9.99. Lego had already released a Boba Fett Brickhead for a comic con, but this one looks so much better in my opinion.
