Lego Star Wars UCS Y-Wing (75181) Set Images Revealed

After the leaked image a few days ago, Lego has officially released images of the upcoming UCS Y-wing.  Including 1967 pieces and two minifigures, (Gold leader and an astromech) the set will retail for $199.99.  It will be released on May 4th for Star Wars day.

The new box design is impressive and will hopefully become the standard for future UCS Star Wars sets.

While I think the fronts of the engines look a little odd with the exposed studs, the set overall looks fantastic.  

The designers seem not to have fixed one of the small problems with the Rogue One Y-wing  released last year, the fact that the cockpit cannot be fully opened with the gun in the forward position.  However, it is less of a problem here because the UCS Y-wing is more of a display piece than a play set.

The greebling  on the engines looks very nice and seems to include some interesting parts. (I think I spy a 1x3 Jumper Plate on the engine)  Overall, the UCS Y-wing looks like a solid set and a worthy addition to the UCS line.
